Project developed for the 27th student competition of the Centre National du Graphisme, Join the Playlist.
The brief invited participants to create a graphic object in response to a piece of music or a sound object, whether real or fictional. Format, function, and intention were entirely open, as long as sound remained the central element.

I chose the track Masculinity by Lucky Love, which questions the violence of gender norms and suggests a withdrawal from dominant masculine codes. The song opens space for freer, non-binary, hybrid identities.
To translate this visually, I created a photograph that expresses the dissolution of gender markers suggested in the music. It depicts a merging of masculine and feminine codes — blurring, fading, and becoming indistinguishable. The image represents a deliberate erasure of boundaries between genders, where neither can be clearly defined.
Rather than claiming a fixed position, the work seeks to reveal a state of tension — a body and being caught between what it is expected to embody and what it truly is. I aimed to convey an affirmed fragility, a resisting softness, and a form of quiet withdrawal from the suffocating grip of patriarchal norms.
