Project initiated by Lionel Catelon, inspired by The Situation Times by Jacqueline de Jong, which explores the concept of collection.
I used this opportunity to gather 139 images from various contexts — references, museums, galleries, exhibitions, and photographers — to explore how photographic archiving can engage with multiple dimensions.
This project offers a critical reading of the Amazigh jewel as a living archive, crystallizing cultural, political, social, and identity-related issues. It questions its place within colonial history, Amazigh struggles, and the contemporary reclaiming of craft as a form of resistance.
